Description
First Press Pour — Murataj & Son Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A true estate oil — every drop comes from a single family grove of over one thousand olive trees in the hills above Kotë, in southern Albania. Our father Skender planted these trees in tribute to our grandfather Hydo. He tends them by hand. We harvest each October, pressing within hours to capture the oil at its most vibrant.
The result is a robust, peppery extra virgin with a clean finish and notes of fresh-cut grass, green almond, and a gentle warmth at the back of the throat — the hallmark of oil pressed the same day it’s picked.
This is not a blend. It’s not sourced from anonymous cooperatives. It’s one family, one grove, one harvest.
How to use: Finish pasta, drizzle over sourdough, dress salads, or simply pour into a bowl with good bread. This oil is made to be tasted, not hidden in cooking.
